My Purple Haven :)

Purple was made for moi! (Haha! Kidding!)

Anyway, my Mum suddenly wanted to redesign my room (perhaps to be able to practice what she learned from constantly watching interior designing programs in Lifestyle Channel). I warmly welcomed the thought since my 'old room' was just a pure blah. My mum already had the perfect idea on what to do and so we quickly started cleaning up my uber messy room the moment I finished some house chores (how do we escape these chores? LOL). My mom had me remove my old native bookcase, she put up new curtains on my windows (with which the combination was way off. I mean light green and violet? LOL! But it can pass as being presentable anyway. Hehe!), made me sort out my stuff and then she began her work. And much to my dismay, we went to a nearby mall and she made me buy stuff that will be used for my room. There goes my savings. LOL!

Okay, okay, I'll just stop blabbering and just post the pictures of my redesigned room, My Purple Haven.

*Drum roll please! And curtains up!*

Butterfly artwork in my room from one of my aunt's patients. I just love them butterflies. ;)

My bed. The leopard spread out on my bed is from my Oriental Love, Mike. *Blush*

My headboard-slash-bookcase. This is the entire reason mum wanted to redesign my room. Haha! She wanted to have a makeshift headboard for my bed. It's perfect and I love it! I can even put my stuff like diary, books, organizers, and radio/CD player. The doll was from a swap meet in Los Angeles when I went for a vacation there. Here's a trivia - the purple bear is actually a lamp. Isn't it cute? ;)

This is what I was talking about - the color combination of the curtains on my window. Haha! My, my! I don't know how to get a proper shot! The angle is way off as well! Hehe!

This bookshelf is one of my mum's ideas as well. I also have my bag hanger under it (with just some of my bags, I need to buy another bigger bag hanger for my other bags). Isn't it nice? Sigh. The only downside is that I can't put all my books there. But it's okay, since it's really meant as a design more than a bookshelf. There's my little candle burner and my hot pink candle lamp. :)

My white board which serves as a picture scrapbook on my wall, my simple lavender-covered desk, and flower vase made from an empty bottle but embellished with gold wrapper and ribbon (my idea, hehe!).

Well, that's about it. What's the common denominator of my room? Yes, purple! :) My room's not much as it's small but very much purple, perfect as my sanctuary at home. ;)

When the world seems unfair, when pressure from work sinks in my being, this is where I find solace, this is where I find tranquility and peace of mind. Lastly, this is where I feel safest, My Purple Haven.

I love my room even more! Well, ciao! There's still unfinished work to be done! Damn! oh well.
